About this episode

Microsoft retired the EA for organizations under roughly 2,400 users, removed the volume discount levels that used to be automatic, and raised M365 list prices in July 2026. Every discount you keep is now a discount you negotiated explicitly. This episode walks through the renewal, the MCA-E repapering, the true-up, and the soft audit, and what each one is really for.

Sarah and Michael cover the six plays Microsoft runs at the table, from manufactured June 30 urgency to the E5 bundle math and the Copilot attach, and the seven step playbook that counters them: open nine months early, right-size with your own telemetry, build provable alternatives, force the deal desk, fix the paper, separate the Copilot pilot, and control the room.
