What is the ServiceNow 2026 Pricing Playbook?

It is the buyer side framework we use for the first ServiceNow renewal after the 9 April 2026 tier reset. It covers what changed, what is bundled into Foundation, Advanced, and Prime, where autonomous agents sit, the tier mix math, the consumption cap, and the levers to hold at renewal.

When did the ServiceNow tiers change?

On 9 April 2026 ServiceNow retired Standard, Pro, Pro Plus, Enterprise, and Enterprise Plus and moved to three AI native tiers, Foundation, Advanced, and Prime. Now Assist is bundled into all three and autonomous agents are gated to Prime.

How much can the playbook save?

On a 2,000 user benchmark estate, tiering the base rather than standardizing on Prime recovered 1.5 million dollars in Year 1, a 35 percent reduction. Most of it came from tier mix discipline, not from a discount ServiceNow no longer needs to give.

Do I need Prime for the whole estate?

Rarely. Autonomous agents sit in Prime only, but they are usually needed by a small operations team, not the whole company. Buy Prime for the agent population, hold the rest on Foundation or Advanced, and negotiate a Prime expansion right at a locked rate.

Does ServiceNow publish tier pricing?

No. ServiceNow does not publish tier list pricing, so the ranges in the playbook are benchmark bands from our engagement file. Treat any single number the account team quotes as an opening position, not a fixed rate.

Do I have to talk to a salesperson to read it?
