OpenAI Enterprise. Anthropic. Google Gemini. Microsoft Copilot. Custom platform contracts. We negotiate the commercial framework before the pilot becomes a production line item. 100 percent buyer side.
Generative AI procurement is the fastest moving commercial event most enterprises will run this decade. Pilot to production cycles compress from twelve months to six. The vendors are new, the metrics are unfamiliar, and the data clauses are still being drafted in real time. The buyer who shows up to a GenAI negotiation with a software procurement playbook will leave with a software procurement deal at AI prices.
Our GenAI practice exists for one reason. To put a buyer side commercial framework in front of vendors whose pricing models, training data clauses, and uptime commitments are still being invented. Our partners come from inside OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Cloud, and Microsoft enterprise sales, and from the first wave of large enterprise AI deployments. Read also our OpenAI procurement playbook and the GenAI Knowledge Hub.
We advise on every GenAI commercial event that touches a global enterprise, from pilot framing through production renewal. The work falls into six clusters.
OpenAI's enterprise commercial model has matured rapidly through 2025 and into 2026. The published list pricing is no longer the operative number for large enterprise deals. Token discounts, seat based commitments, prepaid credit pools, and model upgrade rights are all on the table for sufficiently large commitments. Our economic interest is to get our clients the published pricing and the unpublished pricing in the same document.
We have run more than twenty OpenAI Enterprise engagements since the product line stabilised. Outcomes vary by token volume, use case mix, and contract term, but the pattern is consistent. Most clients can move headline pricing by twenty to forty percent through volume framing alone, and a further ten to twenty percent through term, data, and upgrade clause negotiation. Our OpenAI procurement white paper walks through the token arithmetic and the unpublished commercial structures we have negotiated. Read also the playbook download.
Anthropic's enterprise sales motion is younger than OpenAI's, and the contract framework reflects that. Discount levels, prompt caching credits, and model version lock clauses are all live commercial levers in 2026. The right framework depends on use case mix, token volume, and the role of Claude in the broader AI stack.
Our Anthropic practice covers enterprise contract framing, prompt caching economics, model version commitments, and bring your own key arrangements with the major hyperscalers. We have advised on Anthropic deployments through AWS Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and direct Anthropic enterprise contracts. The right deployment shape depends on the data residency requirements and the existing hyperscaler footprint.
Google has pulled Gemini into the Workspace bundle and into Vertex AI. The commercial framework reflects both motions, with seat based pricing for Workspace integration and consumption pricing for Vertex AI. The right framing depends on whether the AI capability is intended to augment a Google Workspace estate or to power a custom enterprise application.
Our Gemini practice covers Workspace bundle expansion, Vertex AI consumption framing, and contract term flexibility against the existing Google Cloud commitment. Read also the Gemini Enterprise licensing white paper.
Microsoft 365 Copilot is the largest single AI procurement event most enterprises will run in 2026. The published price of thirty dollars per user per month does not reflect the commercial reality of large enterprise deals. Capacity reservations, EA integration, and pilot to production framing all change the unit economics materially.
We have run Copilot procurement engagements where the unit economics moved between thirty five and sixty percent off the published price through commitment, term, and EA integration. Our Copilot licensing white paper walks through the framework, and the deeper EA framing lives in our Microsoft services page.
The single most important conversation in any GenAI contract is not pricing. It is the data clause. Who owns the prompts, the responses, and the fine tuned weights when the contract ends? Most vendor templates are drafted in the vendor's favor and require active redrafting to put the enterprise in a defensible position.
We negotiate data residency, training data exclusion, prompt and response retention, model output indemnification, and fine tuned weight portability across all major GenAI vendors. The clause framework is consistent across vendors but the negotiating room differs materially. Read more in our AI platform contract playbook.
Most GenAI engagements run in one of three shapes. Project work tied to a single vendor procurement, pilot expansion, or production renewal. Subscription cover under Vendor Shield, where any vendor change of terms, audit notification, or commercial dispute is handled by our team within forty eight hours. Embedded retainer where a partner sits inside your AI procurement function for the duration of a major program.
The right shape depends on how many GenAI vendors are in your stack and how rapidly the use cases are scaling. We will tell you on the first call which mode fits your situation. Read more in our Renewal Program and the Vendor Shield page.

OpenAI told us the enterprise pricing was the enterprise pricing. Redress walked into the next call with a token forecast, a competitor proposal, and a data clause redline. The number moved fourteen million dollars over three years and the data clauses moved further.
